What we offer
Dental disease can be prevented by being diligent about your furbaby’s oral hygiene plan. So if you’re looking for advice, come talk to us!
We offer free dental checks with our nurses! Our nurses can talk you through the best at home dental care options for your pet. We’ll even show you how to brush their teeth!
Recent studies have shown that 70% of adult cats and 80% of adult dogs show symptoms of oral disease. Bad breath, plaque build-up, excessive drooling, sore or bleeding gums when eating or chewing, and decreased appetite are signs that your furbaby’s teeth may require veterinary attention.
The average cat or dog needs a scale and polish every 18 months! Some even need it every year! We perform dental scaling and polishing on a routine basis. If necessary, we also perform tooth extractions. Because a full general anaesthetic is involved with dental, we perform pre-anaesthetic blood tests to ensure your companion is healthy enough for surgery. After the procedure, we’ll provide you with a post-op plan on how to take care of your companion’s oral health moving forward.
Remember oral hygiene should start as early as possible! Prevention is always key!
