It’s that time of year again, where love is in the air, and the best part is no matter what your love life is like right now, there is a special someone who adores you, someone who’s always there, no matter what. In my household, my furry children will always be my valentines without fail, so this year I decided I’d make them a very special treat this year. A a treat that everyone can enjoy. They are super easy and quick but a huge success!
Yep, that’s right, this recipe is completely family friendly. This recipe uses human grade food for our gorgeous furry friends.
Valentine’s Day Heavenly Hearts
What you’ll need:
1/2 cup of plain Greek yoghurt
Dogs are lactose intolerant so only use a very small amount (or substitute for lactose-free yoghurt but check the ingredients – make sure there’s NO XYLITOL. This artificial sweetener is VERY toxic.)
1 cup of peanut butter (warm it in the microwave for a while to make it easier!)
A small squeeze of honey
1 ice cube tray (with hearts to really celebrate Valentine’s Day)
Step-by-step
Prep all the ingredients on the counter
Place peanut butter at the bottom of the mould. Cover with Greek yogurt and give it a quick swirl.
Freeze overnight!
Top with a little honey and ENJOY
