NOT so Choc Chip Cookies

NOT Choc Chip Cookies

As much as my George might like to disagree, fur babies just CAN NOT have chocolate! On top of that, choc chips aren’t really that good for me either. On the other hand, Carob has less carbs and no caffeine, so it’s better for me and waaay better for my pup.

So here’s a little recipe that makes delicious Not Choc Chip Cookies. Even better, this recipe is perfect for doggies (and humans) with delicate tummies, because it uses gluten-free ingredients.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups of Brown Rice Flour

1 1/2 cups of Oat Flour

3/4 cup of Carob Chips

1 tsp of Vanilla Extract

1 egg

3/4 cup of Water

Method

Preheat your oven to 180 Degrees Celsius.

Place all your ingredients except the carob drops in a large bowl and mix everything together very well ( I used my kitchen aid but by hand will do! ).

Once all mixed add the carob drops and slowly mix it together as not to break the drops.

Then Keep mixing until the dough turns dry and quite stiff.

For a little summer touch, I rolled out my cookie dough and cut them into cute shapes- suns, bones, hearts and stars. This dough doesn’t expand, so cut them out at the size you want them.

Bake your cookies for about 20 minutes- longer if they’re on the large side.

Voila! you have some very tasty carob cookies for everyone to enjoy!

The left over dough always seems to end up in George’s tummy!

*One last time, these are NOT Choc Chip Cookies, so they’re good for you and you’re dog. If you decide to add chocolate, they’re human only!*
